Consciousness and Remembering
The energy behind Memorial Day in the United States of America is of recognizing and remembering those who had died while serving in wars for this country. It became a united effort out of different locations in this nation after our Civil War in the mid 1800's and recognized as a legal holiday soon after.
Over 150 years later we are still remembering those have died in service.
I will spend today thinking of them and us today. How far we have come, how far we have not come.
And through it all I will be grateful to those no longer present in form who are still with us in mind and spirit, if not body.

Consciousness and Moving into the State of Something Different Happening Now

What are you feeling as you read Mother Theresa's quote about time? Resistance and story starts validating or?
Our day to day realities, our stories about who we are in life, have us moving forward in some sense of time and space. Most are also bringing their pasts forward with them and all too often they are living with the past events actively making their choices still.
In this state what we call the present then is only the past still engaged. That is how we can predict the future with reasonable certainty. Not many of us like the idea of the unknown which would be unreasonable certainty I guess.
When we talk about being present we are talking about shifting from the State of Past Moving Forward to the State of Something Different Happening Now. Only then does the past become the past. It now serves only reference to how we got to our now. And now, right now, will determine our future.
We can have many attachments and feel all kinds of things about our past. Lots of powerful emotions are active, lots of thinking active.
Have you heard this one? "Nothing ever changes for as much as things change, they stay the same." It is a morphic field in effect. Means nothing really ever changes. Really? That things change and then change again and still things are the same? It can certainly seem that way when we lump things together. What it really means is that you registered a change and then another change and then it went back to what it seems it was. This speaks to our choices and how powerful we are in making the same choice or a different choice.
We notice this in using consciousness technologies. Someone comes to us about an issue and it clears and another shows up maybe even worse than the first. The issue then is only symptom and not the agenda in play.
Did things truly change back to what they were? Or, were we perhaps too slow or too fast because of our stories to recognize change when it happened or when the opportunity was right in front of us and we settled for what was familiar. You have to develop ones own awareness in noticing shift.
Did I mention that time is a sense as is space and malleable in quantum realities? That's the subjective quality we experience it as. The minutes that are ticking away in orderly fashion on the clock is a man made construct representing predictability of time which is useful to share collectively in our physical world to keep things running on schedules that we feel are important. Our mind and emotions can have a different sense of time than your body is holding. We can not, at times, keep up with how fast things happen. And then they can seem to take forever.
You can take the time out of a pattern. You can end the measurement. If you do this only from your wounded thoughts and emotions you will blink and and continue to bring the past forward with nothing changing.
Making the time to stop and look around yourself and what you have created behind you puts you into the present. You are stopping the story. You are gaining perspective. If you do this in Heart Centered Awareness you can stop the old story running and start another.
What is it like to sit in Heart Centered Awareness where time and space are sensory and malleable? Where the story and you have a chance to separate into the now?
Give it a chance. Sit in awareness and let some issue come into mind. If you are crunched for time do this while sitting in the bathroom. Instead of reading your texts you might as well sit and be creative in a different way!
In any relation there is our story, their story, our perceived sense of their story and so forth.

Consciousness and Truth

Now we are engaged in a great civil war, testing whether that nation, or any nation so conceived and so dedicated, can long endure. We are met on a great battle-field of that war. We have come to dedicate a portion of that field, as a final resting place for those who here gave their lives that that nation might live. It is altogether fitting and proper that we should do this.
But, in a larger sense, we can not dedicate -- we can not consecrate -- we can not hallow -- this ground. The brave men, living and dead, who struggled here, have consecrated it, far above our poor power to add or detract. The world will little note, nor long remember what we say here, but it can never forget what they did here.
It is for us the living, rather, to be dedicated here to the unfinished work which they who fought here have thus far so nobly advanced. November 19, 1863
President Lincoln stood on the battlefield of Gettysburg in the aftermath of destruction of life. He spoke about unity, the nation and two sides of separateness and the cost for both sides of an issue.
Would President Lincoln be heartened to know that his words in 1863 still live on and serve as comment to all of us now in 2019? We do note and remember what he said there. We don't want to forget and need to remind every generation that follows. He might be surprised that we are still here as a country, but maybe not. He was wise to the drives and motivations, the best and the worst in people.
I found myself contemplating life as I drove to appointments. Once again I was struck by his wisdom and value of life and the importance of appreciating how priceless life is.
Not how precious life is. How priceless life is. We have and continue to demonstrate repeatedly throughout history how little some have valued life, their own and others, the quality of that life and the life of this planet we call home.
We now have knowledge and technologies of ourselves in terms of global as well as local applications. There is no separateness to any of it. We are all connected and to think otherwise just shows how silly and stupid we can be when we only live in a state of separateness and not a state of wholeness and separateness, as Consciousness is.
Take time this week to access Heart Centered Awareness and feel how you recognize the value of life and your life. Consider what your thoughts are and the actions they lead to.
Play it forward in thoughts and actions to those around you, be they strangers or loved one or acquaintances. Notice how you are treated.
What would you do differently to acknowledge your own humanity, theirs and the wonder in Being? What might your call to action be? Life is priceless and limited. Being the best we each can be brings out the best in each other,
and in this nation, within Consciousness.

Ep 8 Blog for Consciousness and Following the Bliss of
Curiosity
Curiosity is one of the most instinctive
drives we can know in being alive. All animals demonstrate it. It leads to questioning, creativity and
actions. It leads to exploring and looking for something different or just
because. It leads to maturing and finding one’s place under the sun. It can
shorten a life or extend a life and totally shape the quality of that life.
Something propelled life
out of the seas and onto land. It had to then adapt and evolve in order to
maintain a totally different breathing in this new environmental relationship.
It isn’t because there wasn’t enough room in the ocean. What if it was curiosity?
Curiosity is what pushes our innocence to gain knowledge of all kinds and what we feel about that knowledge and where that takes us. Life shapes and forms and evolves.
Curiosity is a neutral state. It is not good or bad. But
what comes from being curious leads to outcomes. Consciousness has no agenda,
so it has no outcomes, it has no attachment. This is in each of us as our core. The
human we are will judge the outcomes developing biases and predictability. It
shapes our curious nature. We can give it license to develop and stimulate new
processes or it can be set to limit.
Consciousness technologies celebrate curiosity that leads to
creativity and actions in our quantum realities. New patterns of behavior come
not because we force them to. They come because we are curious and ask a
question. A great question is “What would it be like if this could be
different”? It is our invitation to the
Unknown. Something so simple in this quantum state is the most powerful
generator of potential in action as energy.
When one has no attachment to outcome but is open to something
different. And when one holds that whatever comes as the change enhances one’s
life, no matter what it looks like, there is no fear about what comes in being
different.
This is the power of curiosity. Non attachment, innocence
experiencing new information. We are always retaining our innocence. About
things, about feelings, about thoughts about stuff. Inquiring minds want to
know, right? Doesn’t matter if it is about the barking dog next door or the
answer about black holes. Each is an outcome of questioning and that
questioning comes from curiosity. The emotions that may overlay at the time are
by products.
Life is about potential and possibilities. It is our
curiosity that activates the potential and possibilities into reality.
Satisfying our curiosity brings a certain sort of sense of completion.
It can be as simple as picking up a book and letting it take
you where it leads you and that sense of “Ah” at the end or the “Hmm” at the
end. Or trying a new recipe or when you just throw given ingredients together
on “Chopped”.
As adults we are responsible for helping children develop
their curiosity. We are being given a remarkable gift in fostering potential
that we maybe don’t value enough. We might leave it to our schools and teachers
who may be in overwhelm. We may feel overwhelmed with the endless questions
that you may have a knowledgeable answer to, or you may have no answer or don’t want to have to think of an answer or have to know something different.
Remember how you had
to ask your question at the right time, or the right parent when you were a child? There are all kind of reactions
and responses and how you handle this is reflecting your own relation to
Curiosity. Letting it become something you explore together shares with the
child that we are never too old to learn and to question.
Maybe our own curiosity has been stifled. We act mindless in
our lives when we are not encouraged to find our own answers. Questioning
authority of any kind is a healthy premise in the right context. It helps keep
our alignment of Essence and Self in harmony and our subsequent health
happy.
Our curious natures are present from the baby grabbing on to
some thing and putting it in their mouth and learning it and asking a few years later the
eternal “Why?” Isn’t this our cue to Curiosity engaging?
If we are lucky. we never stop putting something new in our
mouths and asking “Why?”
