Journeys Into Enlightenment with Janet Podcast
Ep 17 Blog  Being is the Business Model

My intention with this topic was to explore how our interpretation of Consciousness is playing out in our business worlds. We have so much disconnected and discontent in our world today.

Here in the US we were looking for new approaches in government in our last election. Many hoped a businessman would offer something new to the business that government is. Not a bad idea and yet I guess it just depends on the kind of businessman you elect.

Our actions have created a transcending opportunity of potential in action as it shines a blinding light on our darkness within.

There are many considerations that come to mind about business as an organization of people working together. Most of human endeavor can be regarded as a business. How we are working together is the issue. Doesn’t matter if it is the mom and pop store, big box department store or our government and it branches and partners in this small world.

All will be conditioned by those involved in the process. The resulting expression as product or service will reflect this. You hear the phrase “working relationship” which will always reference “not working relationship” into the equation. There is a lot of this present in ruling either by dictator or groups of interests.

All too often we are being shown how many of our business models lately are reflecting our feeling of disconnect with all. We are having to ask companies to be more responsible in their interface with all of us, be they the media, Facebook, Walmart or our bodies of Congress and The White House.

Where do our tenets about Being come into play? I am not talking religious dogma. I am talking about treating all with Oneness as basis, our shared connection. The offering of respect, appreciation and gratitude no matter the face. It is okay to have a different viewpoint or orientation than another. Life is a spectrum after all. But being in judgment of that face is not enriching any of us and is a destructive path to follow.

Standards in practice of “Do no harm, only help, treat others as you would like to be treated yourself” often disappear when up against the drive of business survival, money or power. Our great ideas and ways of being helpful get compromised. Personal or corporate reasons move us to take actions not always embracing others but as adversarial. Could be your competitor or your family. If we are in a state of fighting for our job or jobs, the work environment becomes compromised.

Just because one has a good idea that fills a need well does not make one a business owner or partner in successful relations with others. As business owner of any kind, how you treat others starts with yourself and reflects in your employees. If you are an employee, same goes with your colleagues. How are you using self-care? If your idea of self-care is measured in the number of bottles of beer or wine, you consume at night something is not right.

No time to go on retreat or sabbatical? Then use your time in the bathroom wisely. Instead of daydreaming your stream contemplate and appreciate your moment. Do you make it easy for your crew to share their awareness and needs they have at work and at home? How responsive, not responsible, are we with others?

Being present is not a burden. It is not a call to arms to do something or make something right or solve. That will come out of our resulting inspired action. Being present comes as our response to first valuing our self and valuing others. Listening is what is important and often makes the difference in outcome.

Same as with our children. They need an ear and heart, not always you to solve the problem. Letting them become resourceful may lead you on a merry dance yes and will have its own rewards.

A company is as healthy as the relation of the CEO to the janitor in the business. When both are being treated with respect, we all benefit. Anything else indicates a challenge to play with.

When was the last time you told someone around you, “Hello”.  “Thank you. I appreciate your helping me out”, be it home or office?

Being is the business model.

Consciousness and Remembering

The energy behind Memorial Day in the United States of America is of recognizing and remembering those who had died while serving in wars for this country. It became a united effort out of different locations in this nation after our Civil War in the mid 1800's and recognized as a legal holiday soon after.

Over 150 years later we are still remembering those have died in service.

I will spend today thinking of them and us today. How far we have come, how far we have not come.
And through it all I will be grateful to those no longer present in form who are still with us in mind and spirit, if not body.

Consciousness and Unfolding Into Ourselves

All of us are in different places in awareness of being conscious and humans in potential. Amid the spectrum of man and this planet, portions of our societies are engaged in survival. Some portions are engaged in exploring what life is about. Some are engaged in affecting society in technology. Some are busy as worker bees doing the day to day, some are engaged in putting it all into meaning. Some serve as warnings, some as symbols, some are rallying cries.

These positions and others all add to the whole of mankind and Consciousness, in different placements of contribution. There is no fault to be found for being where one is found in the diversity. Do we blame a child for it's parents and being born into it's circumstances or do we value them right from the start? We are at our best when we are not judging where we find others in their expressions of being and belonging. All add to the whole.

Our natures develop thorough stages as we grow up and take in more of the world and our place in it and we can get stuck in any stage that will last a lifetime. For example the stages will become the states regarding "I am king of the world and you serve at my dictates" or delayed gratifications. We have names for these active states. The body will mature but ones' nature of placement in the world can get stuck and fixed.

Those bigger and older help teach and mentor us in forming our choices as we grow and mature in human form. Whatever world view and position they have about life they will pass on. We will absorb and internalize and utilize the information gained.

Too many times we were perhaps encouraged to maybe not learn too much, to not question for ourselves but to follow the dictates of others. The others that know more, about you and your place in the scheme of things. We trust them to care for us and to love us and have our best interests at heart. They may and do it well, they may and not express it well and they may not at all.

As a result our nature to question and be curious can go somewhere deep. Other voices become the dominant inner voice overlaying our own into silence. We become smothered and unclear in our curiosity and right to question. Behaviors may start to develop in resistance and defiance, we can be stuck in reaction that has no outlet. or we can become subservient.

Projected fears and destructive power games are active because someone failed to pay valued attention to what we felt inside each of us in the moment. We can brew, soak, percolate actively or passively in our lifetimes in our mindsets. We can explode with deadly force at times or suffer in silence slipping away into drugs, sex, food, church, rock and roll as coping mechanisms. Depression and a sense of unworthiness can build easily.

Being shown that we count and our opinions matters is important to learn when we are young. And also when consensus is operating and someone else will make the final decision. And that someone needs to be able to constructively explain the reasons why it might be different than what you are aware of in terms that can be understood. But how often does that happen when we are young? Our needs to protect each other can often get in the way or become too rigid.

We can all feel the truth when it is being spoken if we are not dumbed down or numb. Maybe this is where we first learn about the sacrifice of the one for the group or family. And if that position is valued or not. What is the trade off that feels right to us, not the one we are told will come. What are we learning about delayed gratification for instance if what is promised is never delivered?

What happens to our sense of truth and questions in all of this?

We can trained to be followers and anarchists, passive aggressive, sullen or disenfranchised in behavior then, not leaders. We don't feel appreciated or safe when we choose to express our powers to others in power, our leaders. How dare we challenge what we have been taught by our parents, our betters, our elders, our teachers of all kinds? And, what do we do when we find corruption and bias at the core of the leader or teacher or community? What do we do as followers who have been unable to question or lied to all along?

The gift found in accessing ourselves as Consciousness is getting out of our smallness and into the Unlimited and the views one gains in perspective. Using consciousness technologies you can see the patterns in thoughts and feelings that you have experienced and defined you. You can start to relate and effect real change in how you are in your world. And, in turn, your world that we all share in.

We do that from within your clarity and mine.

Consciousness. Civility and Civics Lessons Provide the Best Business Model

Our political and social arenas are demonstrating our sense of being and belonging as people. They are reflecting the turmoil inside each of us no matter our nationality or place on the globe.

I am seeing it in terms of civility and civic lessons, the basics of any society. Civility comes into play when one interacts with another. We are relation based creatures and will always be interacting with what we find in and out of our environments. When I use the word "another," that includes my family members, the tree out side my window , my neighbors across the street and everything in between and beyond. Treating it all politely, with respect. You don"t have to be friendly or in agreement. That is a bonus.

How do you want to be treated? It is what the Golden Rule and the like in all cultures and practices reflect.

Civics are about the rights and duties of its citizens, in being in community. Governments are systems set up to guard and protect those rights and duties. Or they can be set up to protect a person or group's agendas. We tend to think of governments as big businesses and often poorly managed and while they may appear as such they are not. At their core they are there to foster what the community or person has decided is important to its citizens or to himself.

Leaders can be democratic or despot or figureheads with congresses behind them running the government. We have created different forms of governments around the world. We can see how deadly it can be with changing or overturning ruling political parties or dictators and the ensuing destruction or what happens under regimes that say they will take care of its citizens but it is only their definition of control that include losses of freedoms of expression as life itself.

The  government of the United States was created at a time when most cultures were dealing with leadership that was more about the bigger muscle, terror and bias campaigns and ruling class created separateness. If you were lucky you had a good ruler who valued his citizens and the community and all expanded into productive enriching cultures. Royalty and dictators are not always about fostering others and more about entitlement and powers over others shared with a select few. Using the government as a their personal for profit business.

Many have wanted to install a businessman into running the US government. Perhaps that approach  would help. Sounded good and yet look what has happened with this particular kind of businessman who's focus is on his own brand. Some businesses run this way. He seems to be appointing other business people who hold his low standards of business ethics in the same way. They have become our ruling class literally. Not always looking after the community but playing power games subject to whim, personal gain and scant regard towards those they serve. Those they serve. A good government serves its people and responds to its needs. These days a different sense of public service is appearing which is subject to interpretation and alternate facts.

Our government is not a business for profit. It is also not a not for profit business. It has to cover its costs so that it can be there when it is needed. That is what taxes are really about.

This particular government of democracy, was created to support our civility. All men are created equal with inalienable rights and have the right to form a new government it says in our Declaration of Independence. That means all men, women, children of any assorted background have equal merit. That is what it means these days and what we aspire for it to do. But that has gotten lost in this leadership and defining and deconstructing forces that have been brought into play. We can all agree that our government is clearly unwieldy at times and is in need of attention for the bloat and updating and constant compromises that so often are what politics can be about.

What would Ben Franklin, John Adams, Thomas Jefferson and all the rest think of us today? They saw democracy as a work in progress and ideals and standards to be put into action. And perhaps not long lasting. Our time in current history is not theirs.  In their time and place and context white men ruled, class structure was strong, indentured slavery was acceptable, armed citizens were needed to feed themselves and form a militia of protection. Women and children were still regarded as chattel and we killed, raped and robbed the native peoples and failed to assimilate and integrate them into the growing new immigrant face of the continent.

We have evolved into today with this baggage. It is seen everywhere around the world in some shape or form.

We say America used to be great and can be great again. Nice slogan but this country has been no different than any majority of countries in how it has treated its citizens for better and worse as it defines itself. Greatness is not about bigger or powerful. We have had more presence, a bigger stick, the safeguard for democracy etc. in how we choose to interact with the rest of the world at times. We have done it both well and clumsily and deadly at times. We are a world leader in thought and potential and at times backward and without respect for the local peoples and their desires, paying attention to only our country's supposed best interests.

Yet, we are doing well in this democracy of ours. And, as we are. We are great in our government that has the ability to weather and evolve as it goes through all this releasing of complacent and complicit energies in it's citizens and newcomers. People came here to explore resources, make their fortunes and leave spirit crushing governments and often certain death. We look to them to assimilate and integrate into our American society without loss enriching the fiber of our communities and help  taking America towards a new greatness. We are so fortunate to live here. This is the Land of the Free and Home of the Brave.

Consciousness and Lotus Rising Out of the Muck

We like to think we don't but we all have muck inside. Suffering and all that encompasses is a fact of life. In this shift in Consciousness what is happening in all of the vibrant uproars around us is the opening of stored, compartmentalized, unresolved, unnoticed negative emotions and energies. (I only use the word negative here as that is how we label emotional energies that don't feel good.)  As Consciousness there is no judgment.

It is food for the Lotus blossom rising up out of our muck. Events and people give us a way to voice what most often we have held in secret, even to ourselves. It has been putting into new contexts the old underlying stuff. We may be surprising ourselves.

For those not paying attention or not living in awareness it is still registering. You can see it everywhere.  It can be the tension in the neck, the extra drink, the road rage, the anger at a cell phone not turned off in a movie theatre. Mob mentality is present in the most unexpected places.

Maybe you are in tears or in depression that seems to have no origin or reason. Centuries old in many cases as the past is in each of us. Emotions leave powerful markers in our genetics in energetic terms.

Unprocessed shame and associated feelings are everywhere. So many components and in group we were able to articulate some profound feelings and why it might be present. For instance, I am ashamed of my government and how it is responding and not responding to its own citizens in need in Puerto Rico. A debate of worthiness that has been created triggering many of us.

Consider  the recent Ken Burn's Vietnam War series and how it showed us how a war was created and handled and felt by all those directly and indirectly involved in that war. On all sides. My own feelings and memories and my parents feelings and the country's feelings. The regrets and slaps and righteousness that have been held, the excuses for actions taken.  On all sides.

This is nothing new. How old is Mankind? It has been going on that long. Every generation has had it stuff. Without resolution but often with shock and denial and stored away. How do we resolve all the sides that we can encompass about anything?

Also strong was the wanting to help and not being able to help and to feel effective and bring meaning and care and life support supplies to those who are in need. To effectively stop mayhem and craziness. Those asking for help and others sitting around waiting for weeks to be allowed to help. Being allowed to help. How sad is that?

It is in the loss of civility we are exposed to. It would seem permissible to attack another from a distance, or from a hiding place or over Twitter. Our abilities with technologies is far outstripping our emotional, mental adaptations because we accept process as the norm. Things take time we are told. But with our energetic awareness we know that process is about time and control. In this work we feel the shifts immediately when we are not attached to outcomes.

Our muck is rich material. It is not about having it. That's a given. It is how you use it. As shit or fertilizer.

What is rising up out of your muck?  What you may find may only be informations from other times and places and spaces and not current to you. Or even yours.

Whatever it is, make time to look at it within Heart Centered Awareness. Notice in some way what you are aware of. If it feels done but just sitting there taking up energy you could use elsewhere, bless it and see about just moving it out of alignment with yourself and then do so. See it separate farther and farther away and more useful elsewhere free to come apart and back to particles. Feel the difference and know it done.

If it feels right to address it and own it and eat it then do so.

Or see it as fertilizer free of story and label now and just as pure energy for your Lotus.

We each are a Lotus flower growing. The Lotus blossoms out of the deep dank muck. The deeper the muck the more beautiful the blossom. It floats above connected and nourished by the muck and transformed into wisdom and beauty. The flower opens in the light and closes with darkness. Each day is a new life, a new rebirth for the flower.

Treat others as you would have them treat you and all there is, as far as you can see, is a field of Lotus blossoms. Feel them in the sunshine, glistening in the dew. We are all rising out of our muck.

Consciousness and the Unknown Hand

When the helicopter or boat come to help you out of the rising water and someone literally reach out their hand to pull you aboard, bias is not important. When someone shoots into a crowd and a somebody covers you in protection, bias is not too important.

When resources don't get to people in need because someone doesn't value them as much as someone else, bias does matter. When people are denied coverage or being recognized as a community worth merit bias does matter. It can be life threatening. It is dehumanizing. There is nothing warm and friendly about intentional neglect or extermination.

Bias: prejudice in favor of or against one thing, person, or group compared with another, usually in a way considered to be unfair.
"there was evidence of bias against foreign applicants"

Bias, prejudice mean a strong inclination of the mind or a preconceived opinion about something or someone. A bias may be favorable or unfavorable: bias in favor of or against an idea. www.dictionary.com/browse/bias

We all hold biases and we may not recognize them in ourselves. They are perceptual in nature. They are what form us as each individual unique in our stories of Life. Neither right, wrong, good, bad they are a place that we develop out of. We hold judgments about them. They shape our own identity and shape our world and us in it.

They can generate friendly rivalry, they can generate deadly rivalry. They can create isolation. Groups, places of worship, families, clans, sports fans, even friends will hold biases as that is what holds the group together. You may start with one and come to find you don't really fit. Or you fit really well.

We have a tendency to maybe think that they are foundations and never questioned or to be questioned and not to be touched by evolution. But biases are evolutionary in nature if we allow them to be that way. With a little encouragement we understand that they are often only starting points.

When we use consciousness technologies, like Matrix Energetics, Yuen Method, Access Consciousness or Psych K and others we appreciate how we have set those perceptual frameworks and that they can change.

Unless you live in a small town where everyone knows everyone,we may live in communities filled with strangers. And strangers are just people who you have not yet met.

We are also neighbors on this lovely little blue dot as the scientist Carl Sagan would say.  Do you know your neighbor across the street or hallway?

We can all embrace and participate in the community that Houston, Puerto Rico, Las Vegas and disasters of human and nature foster for all of us. Perhaps they are how we relax the personal biases for the moment and just demonstrate care. Putting yourself into someone else's shoes will broaden and humble us.

Make the time to access Heart Centered Awareness and look into your biases and note if they are truly your guiding principles or just stuff you don't question that you picked up along the way to fit in. Misfortune opens us up to compassion. It has a way of cutting through our biases and reducing us to what is important. It can rid us of our fears of different.

Total strangers may provide. Someone may look different, dress different, believe different and may be lending you a hand. Don't be like the fella on the roof now at the Pearly Gates because he was waiting for his idea of God showing up to save him and missing opportunity after opportunity of rescue in God's many different forms.

Grab on and treasure them as they must treasure you.

Consciousness and Listening

You create your own reality and you do so because the thoughts that you are thinking cause you to emanate a vibrational frequency that the Law of Attraction is constantly responding to. And so, in all waking moments, you are creating your own point of attraction and everything that you experience is coming to you because of your vibrational emanation and the response of Law of Attraction to that vibration. It is as if you are standing on a sort of spinning vibrational disc and only things of the same vibration can join you on your disc. Your disc changes depending upon the thoughts that you are thinking and the emotions that you are feeling.
---Abraham
Excerpted from: Co-creating at Its Best on November 13, 2013

I notice that states of realities come with all kinds of energies within them. Everything as Consciousness, is a spectrum so when we feel, want or think something it will also include the opposite, duality, and the range, the polarity, as dynamics which are part of the field. Focusing on a certain part of the field will tune to a certain part of the resonance and we look to be neutral to all else is in the field.  It will also include the scalar dynamic of where the point of awareness is not.

What are you thinking? Listen to your self talk. It is that constant silent conversation that is running whether you are by yourself or with others. Pay attention. This is Self. What is the quality of the voice, what is the feeling to be found? Do you always speak your feelings and or truth or do you keep it silent in order to not be found challenging either others or yourself?

All around us are voices. We mirror them, we reject them, we have a hard time tuning them out. Are they yours, your own thoughts? We each control the knob. Are they reflections of social media, radio, print and television chatter? What are you listening to, this constant bombardment of voices and tones, and words? Words that inflame, words that provoke, words that soothe, words that validate the highest and lowest within each of us. All kinds of words, all kinds of viewpoints.

Which do you choose to resonate and listen to? Which words stir us to take action? Which words create peace and harmony, which words foster unrest and discontent?

How do we love someone who voices a viewpoint opposite of ours? Everyone has a right to their viewpoint and will defend it. If we hold them as only right or wrong then we can get stuck.

This time right now is about listening. And listening and feeling what is underneath the words. What is motivating from beneath the language? Most of us are pretty unaware of our beliefs, programming and emotions that generate our words. We don't really hear ourselves when we talk, when we listen.

The most important words for all of us that I hear are DO NO HARM. and it is the DO NO HARM that comes from the state of Potential that is Heart Centered Awareness. This is how I choose to express myself as Consciousness as Janet. How do you choose to express?

DO NO HARM TO OTHERS, DO NO HARM TO THE PLANET, DO NO HARM TO SELF. VIEW OTHERS AS SELF, EQUAL AND AS WORTHY. THERE IS NO OTHERS, THERE IS ONLY THE ONE. PEOPLE BEFORE BUSINESS. BUSINESS SERVES PEOPLE NOT PEOPLE SERVE BUSINESS. WASTE NOT. ALLOW FOR EBB AND FLOW IN WHATEVER IT MAY BE.

These are the words that I can hear from within Heart Centered Awareness. What do you hear?

The Universe will honor each of our vibrations no matter what they might be.  TREAT ME AS I TREAT YOU is active always and is something we need to listen for and pay attention to. Every religion has its' take on the Golden Rule.

It is time for the majority of us to shake off our shock and apathy and discontent and realign from within.  Go to Heart Centered Awareness and see what you hear, your authentic voice.

These are the points of focus that I, as Consciousness, choose to align. That is what I, as Self choose to follow.
