Birthday Thanks

Last week I celebrated my 65th birthday.

When I was in my late 20's this accomplishment was not a reality in my future. I never really thought of life much beyond my late 30's I guess. Illness of all kinds and physical pain keep me thinking in terms in the moment and of short life. Astrologically speaking, apparently there was no picture of health so it would become a journey of spirit and mind working together to support the body function.

Now I am set for many more moments and a much longer life. Why limit it? I am finally getting the hang of letting go of many of my assumptions about life I picked up along the way and being in a body and wanting out of it.

I like the energy of ageless and I realize that being present is how one is ageless. Age stops becoming ones reference in how one shows up.

I would rather value and appreciate where I am right in this moment and give thanks.

Thank you to all of you who sent me birthday wishes. Over 100 of them on fb. I am doing my best to personally respond to each, as you each took the energy to share your happy tidings with me. I feel that deeply and it has been a lovely warming these last couple of days.

Many I don't know personally. And the graciousness extended is, as I said, heartwarming.

Thank you to my husband. After 43 years, there is much to recommend him. I chose well. He is the reason I am still alive and thinking in terms of living some more. But today I thank him for his computer skill sets and keeping me safe and warm and with some money in the bank and helping me deal with Medicare and insurance and all the ways one can be compromised filling in the important forms. .

Thanks to my colleagues who feed my soul and support. We all have different backgrounds and stories and share life on this planet and that adds to my delight in diversity.

Thank you to Mother Earth and all her bounty. I drove around in the beauty of the fall sunlight and fresh air today and just reveled. Breathed it in when we parked, enjoyed the view and felt life.

Thanks to Boyd who creates music and acts as sound engineer for my podcast. He supports me in my enjoyment in spreading around this world that being able to connect to our essence and Consciousness as Spirit in human form is rich, rewarding and essential. Together we share in our awareness that Life is what you make it to be and being able to change what you make it out to be is not as hard as you might think it is. Just need to experience it.

Thank you to my mentors over the years who shared how it is possible to enjoy life if that is what you want to do. Among them Dr. Kam Yuen, Dr. Richard Bartlett, Dr. Mark Dunn, Grandmaster Foo, and their great surrounding teams of" potential explorers".

Thank you to the medical field that did not know how to define me or help me at times. Thank you to those who help me now.

And to all of you.

Thank you for those who took a leap of faith and continue to explore Life beyond the perceived reality of the human body and mind with me.

It is lovely to be alive sharing in our grand experiment.

JIE Blog Episode 19 Inner Music

Journeys Into Enlightenment with Janet

Episode 19 Blog   Inner Music

We have inner rhythms that create body music that reflect or harmonize to the sounds and music outside of our body. What and how we hear accesses our emotions directly. It accesses in ways quicker than time spent thinking and interpreting.

Need a switch in changing emotional states? Listen to a piece of music that feels different than what you are feeling. Need comfort? Listen to a heartbeat. Need to move? Put on a bouncy tune and watch your foot tap, knee bounce, hips sway, your arms swing all without your direction or intention. Hear the water in the fountain or river and feel the peace. Feel the alignment shift between body, mind, spirit. Or in spirit, body, mind. Or mind. Body, spirit.

Feel how you are hearing information. You are responding to tones in voice before the words hit your ear and isn’t that an interesting way to put that? Before the words hit your ear, which may have something to do with how powerful we feel what is said to us. It is a strike on the ear drum reverberating into our deepest places so quickly we have no process time. We strike the keys on the piano, stroke the cords of the harp, violin, guitar and such.

We vibrate potential and energy in waves.

Once something is heard it is triggering different depths of memory and resonating in ways we don’t notice. Only another vibration that is deliberately placed can counteract to clear the resonance. So, our words and sounds are important. That is what healing is, the ability to clear old resonations and bring in new harmonies and adding the range of notes that will take us to new places.

How much is the city bustle affecting your inner rhythm? How much is your heart on alert to perceived threat? Why is music becoming so important on our hand held devices? Are we using it to drown out or drone out the constant bombardment we call daily Life?

The following quotes share how we are organized in Being and in form. Take time to just relax and invite yourself to let go for a few moments and be present to the rhythms in the states of awareness they embody.

Access. Breathe through your heart and just let. Enjoy.

“Life is a song. It has its own rhythm of harmony. It is a symphony of all things which exist in major and minor keys of Polarity. It blends the discords, by opposites, into harmony which unites the whole into a grand symphony of life. To learn through experience in this life, to appreciate the symphony and lessons of life and to blend with the whole, is the object of our being here.” - Dr. Randolph Stone (founder of Polarity Therapy)

“Consciousness is somehow a by-product of the simultaneous, high frequency firing of neurons in different parts of the brain. It’s the meshing of these frequencies that generates consciousness, just as tones from individual instruments produce the rich, complex, & seamless sounds of a symphony orchestra.” - Francis Crick (1916-2004) (Molecular Biologist/Co-Discoverer of DNA and its
significance for information transfer in living material)

“It struck me recently, that one should really consider the sequence of a protein molecule about to fold into a precise geometric form as a line of melody written in a canon form & so designed by Nature to fold back into itself, creating harmonic chords of interaction consistent with biological function.”Christian B. Anfinsen (1916-1995) (Renowned Biochemist/Nobel Prize Winner)

“It has been found that musical vibrations make their impact upon the entire body, being picked up by the nerves, spinal column, and even by the bones. This is why people who are deaf can react to music. It has also been demonstrated that music affects the pulse, respiration, and blood pressure; but it’s deepest effects, and those from which most of its curative properties are derived, are mental and emotional.” - Doren Antrim author of Music is Medicine

“If I were not a physicist, I would probably be a musician. I often think in music. I live my daydreams in music. I see my life in terms of music.” - Albert Einstein (1879-1955)

“Do you know that our soul is composed of harmony?” - Leonardo da Vinci, Notebooks (1451-1519)

“Music is the mediator between the life of the senses and the life of the spirit.” - Beethoven (1770-1827)

“Harmony sinks deep into the recesses of the soul and takes its strongest hold there, bringing grace also to the body & mind as well. Music is a moral law. It gives a soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination, a charm to sadness, and life to everything. It is the essence of order”… - Plato (429-347)

JIE Ep 18 Blog/

I am using a blog posting from my friend Selina Maitreya. She is my upcoming guest on my podcast Journeys Into Enlightenment with Janet releasing tomorrow Tuesday Sept 10th.
We are going to be talking about her awareness Practical Spirituality. These are certainly not two words one hears put together often.
She sent me this before we recorded and it was delightful to read what I know to be true in her words. She lives her daily life as her spiritual practice as all my guests and I do.
Love, Janet

"Many of my Facebook friends comment on my continued positive response to the difficulties that I encounter in my life.
The people that have known me a long time and know me well, remark on how I’ve changed over the years and continue to stay in a peaceful state regardless of the many challenges I face.
People ask me all the time how can you continue to see the best in others when the world is falling apart?
The reason I continue to see the positive aspects in life is because I choose to. We live in a world of polarity and for every piece of goodness we experience, there is difficulty we could have chosen.
For every bit of chaos that lands in our local or global world, we can still choose to focus our attention on the goodness that exists.
We are our attention and what we put our attention on grows.
It’s important to see what is around us, it’s critical for us to see the full picture of our life but what we choose to put our attention on in response to what we see, is the key to having a peaceful life instead of one of misery.
Read that again please. Read it over and over if you need to. For our next moment comes from our response to chaos, not from the chaos that landed. That's why I make a point of responding from a high frequency.

That my friends is the secret to a peaceful life.
How do I know that?

I know this from experience. This is how I live. This is what I teach. I have had the opportunity to witness the amazing changes my students have accomplished as we've worked together and they have learned how to create a new lifestyle, one where love, kindness and appreciation are full frontal.
I choose to put my attention on gratitude. I choose to appreciate the good that surrounds me. Everybody has goodness in their life. The wonderful aspects of your life never leave when irritation arises you simply choose to allow them to recede into the background when trouble shows up.
I challenge you the next time you’re irritated, a piece of difficulty lands or you’re handling a great tragedy to find the areas of your life that you are still grateful for and focus on them with deep intention.
This is how we heal, this is how we grow, this is how we move more quickly and easily and peacefully through our difficult times. Bring more light into your world when darkness prevails by making the choice to do so.
"Choice, it’s yours, choose wisely!"
