JIE Episode 48 Blog/ Meditation in Times of Crisis by C. James Jensen

Meditation In Times Of Crisis   By C. James Jensen

I was blessed to have been trained in meditation at an early age. I have been amazed for some time now why so few people in our Western culture do not regularly practice some form of meditation on a daily basis. With the unrest in the world, the Covid-19 pandemic, and current political scene, a quieter mind is important to resist joining the world in a state of fear and turmoil.

The amount of data on the benefits of meditation is abundant. Maybe if we all took time to meditate on the problems around us, we would have the ability to bring calm to the causes of stress from all the outside sources as well as internal fears and anxiety of things like possibly being exposed to this virus. I believe if people could sit with their political frustrations and meditate, they could see past the anger to resolutions to assist the planet with its current struggles. Meditation allows us to step outside situations to see like an eagle from a distance instead of feeling like you're in the eye of a storm.

I know when I feel rundown, fatigued, or concerned that I might become ill, through meditation I can direct energy to any area of my body that I think needs a “boost”, or healing, and most often ward off the physical manifestation of my dis-ease-ness. Knock on wood, but I can’t remember having had a common cold or the flu in over twenty years.

On the mental side, I have had some of my greatest ideas and inspiration come to me in meditation. Meditation quiets the mind. When you quiet your mind, you are able to listen or better hear those thoughts that may come from your higher consciousness or the creative center of your mind.

Having learned how to meditate has benefited me greatly in my professional life. Approximately 45 minutes before I was to speak to any group, I would find a quiet room and begin to meditate to align and balance. I would ask my Higher Self to please provide me with the most appropriate thoughts for that particular occasion. As I entered meditation, I would not think about my speech, the audience, or how “I” (the ego) was going to act. I would simply quiet my mind, release any stress associated with speaking to a group whether it was to my own employees or other peers.

Many doctors treating children with anxiety have found using meditation to be very useful with their young patients. For many suffering with conditions like ADHD it may be the only thing that will help them quiet the mind for any extended period of time allowing them to relax and be calm.

Meditation also is a wonderful thing to experience as a couple, a way to relax together. My wife Jeri and I have been meditating for years. I think it may be one of the keys to our long and very happy life together.

How to Bring the Dream Back to America by Deepak Chopra MD

This came across my LinkedIn news feed last week. I though you might enjoy it. He speaks so clearly about where we are in our outward and inward Journeys of Enlightenment. How to Bring the Dream Back to America
By Deepak Chopra™ MD

Massive crises have one great advantage: They show you where you stand. The sight can be distressing and shocking. But it would be wrong to say “Who knew?” We all knew. In this country you’d have to be willfully ignorant to not know about racism, police brutality, income inequality, global warming, the staggering cost of medical care, and the rapacious activity of huge international corporations.
A secondary benefit of a massive crisis is that change can occur. People have waked up enough to protest racism and police brutality. COVID-19 deaths have waked up enough people that Medicare for all has a viable chance of happening. We cannot afford to keep recycling the same old story once things get back to normal. As overwhelming as a massive crisis is, the good news is that the solutions are just as well known as the problems.
If you stare this crisis in the face without flinching, the solutions stare back at you. They include
·          Social justice. This can be solved with a fair, impartial court system and a police force that isn’t skewed to victimize minorities.
·          Economic justice. This can be solved by guaranteeing a safety net for every citizen of the kind that exists in countries where social democracy already works.
·          Sustainability. This can be solved by removing the pollutants and toxins that everyone knows are causing climate change.
·          Peace and conflict resolution. This can be solved by demilitarizing the world and ending us-versus-them thinking.
·          Epidemic disease. This can be solved by taking public health seriously everywhere it is lagging.
·          Unhappiness and discontent. This can be solved largely by doing everything else on the list.
Each of these problems, by general consensus, is moving in the wrong direction. Even though everyone knows what the problems are, and generally speaking the solutions are staring us in the face, the situation isn’t improving. Why? Slavery, child labor, lynching, tainted food, and totalitarianism were changed in the past, and at the time when reformers confronted these horrific problems, the same obstacles were presented by rich, powerful, corrupt, entrenched forces acting in bad faith that we see today.
Something fundamental is as true today as in the distant past: “The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.” The axiom came from Edmund Burke, a giant in 18th-century English politics who also happened to be a conservative. Reformers count on good men (and women) to act on what they already know. This is a simple matter of vision. Change your vision, get enough people to agree with you, and good prevails.
I think of this as the new American Dream, because the old American Dream no longer inspires the vast majority of us. The Land of Opportunity is the old American Dream, to put it in a nutshell. But where has opportunity gotten us? Rampant materialism, mindless consumerism, the dominance of the rich against the poor, woeful social mobility, unchecked polluters, political apathy that has allowed two generations of reactionaries to advance their agenda. Hollowness and corruption were not supposed to be the legacy of the American Dream, but now we’ve learned to live with them in the hope that the goodies we amass won’t be taken from us.
The tragic irony is that every problem can be solved without sacrificing American prosperity. What did polluted air and water, exorbitantly expensive health care, stockpiles of nuclear weapons, trampled minorities, the burgeoning super rich, the corporate stripping of retirement plans, and venal demagogues in places of power do to make you happier? It’s not a wild surmise to answer “Next to nothing.”
The United States has around 4.5% of the world’s population while generating 20% of the global economy, leading the world in greenhouse gas emissions (second only to China), enjoying the world’s most expensive health care with the worst returns from the existing medical system, and standing alone among developed Western nations in not guaranteeing housing, education, and free medical care to its citizens. We do not have to call these things the product of evil, but they are certainly the product of inattention, inertia, social barriers, reactionary political forces, apathy, and a lack of shared vision.
Of all the things that keep us from a better life, I think the lack of shared vision is the one we can change right now, because no outside power can stifle the mind completely. The mind is free if you wake up to what you already know is right. Such a step isn’t difficult, but another maxim must be heeded: “Be the change you want to see in the world.”
If you know what the solutions are, you are already part of the new American Dream. You are not a victim of fate, circumstances, or history as long as you are awake instead of asleep. The real opportunities have never been material in the first place but mental. No one has taken that opportunity away from you. Only habit and inertia has caused the sleepiness of the past to remain in place. Being the change you want to see in the world doesn’t require unusual courage or scary action.
It only requires that you stop telling yourself that things will change while at the same time recycling the same old attitudes, beliefs, fears, blindness, conditioning, and apathy. Those are the pernicious forces that led us into the current crisis. If American exceptionalism is true, then why are we the worst country in the world to deal with the pandemic, led by reprehensible politicians intent on preventing the common good instead of promoting it? The only shred of exceptionalism left to us is a vision of possibilities. To me, a new American Dream requires nothing more, thank goodness.
DEEPAK CHOPRA™ MD, FACP, founder of The Chopra Foundation, a non-profit entity for research on well-being and humanitarianism, and Chopra Global, a modern-day health company at the intersection of science and spirituality, is a world-renowned pioneer in integrative medicine and personal transformation. Chopra is a Clinical Professor of Family Medicine and Public Health at the University of California, San Diego and serves as a senior scientist with Gallup Organization. "The Grand Revelation" by Harvey Kraft

This week I am sharing with you a poem from Harvey Kraft. He was a guest on my Episode 4 of Journeys into Enlightenment with Janet podcast. We talk about Consciousness BEing a Sense and what happens when we consider it this as well as a state of awareness.

He is Author of "The Buddha from Babylon" Digitalism, Transformational Leader, Spiritual Archeologist

You can catch his frequent postings on LinkedIn and Instagram (@Buddhascope).

Enjoy!

“The Grand Revelation”

It happened to me
In an unexpected way
At an unexpected time
When I was neither
Ready nor willing
Caught in limbo
In the midst of a raging battle
Between
The desire for survival and
The pursuit of meaning.

Like a spiritual laser
Entering the unseen eye
Between my eyes
The grand revelation
Drilled deep
Within me
At breakneck speed
Penetrating through
All my limitations
Until it hit
The core of my
Existence,
Like a ton of bricks,
Instantly expanding
My mind
Enabling me to view
The overarching panorama of
What’s going on
Here now
From a grand perspective
Beyond the limits of
Time
Thought
Planetary scope
Individual concerns and
Human endeavors.

Piercing through my
Sensibilities,
Releasing the
Inherent wisdom
Incubating in the space of
Higher Consciousness,
The grand enlightening
Encompassed both
Mortality and eternity,
Showing me that
Neither one
Nor the other
Prevails,
As both —
Although
Viewed as opposites —
Are actually one,
Releasing me
From either/or and into
The realm of fulfillment,
Causing me
To feel so light
I had no weight at all,
Like wings of a feather
Lifting me up high into an
Indescribable awakening.

JIE Episode 35 Blog/What You Might Have Missed In School

Journeys Into Enlightenment with Janet
Podcast Episode releasing Tuesday May 5, 2020

Ep 35 Blog What You Might Have Missed In School

Most of us lead busy lives. If we took college classes or utilized therapy some where in our past, we might have learned about the different levels of BEing energetic humans equipped with minds. We may have learned about ways of behavior. We may have learned information in our psychology, sociology, and science classes about how to relate to ourselves. OR maybe we focused elsewhere.
.
I am including an excerpt from my guest Jennifer Foster’s book 2020 The Way Forward about her Energetic Dynamic Model (EDM). You will learn all about what you forgot or never learned about BEing human. Then check out the online EDM Academy and enroll in the beginner’s course 'Core Motivational Training'. This teaches you all about 'who you are', your Power Needs and how to understand negative emotions. It is free too. The link to this free PDF is found on the website www.energydynamicmodel.com

“To achieve personal and consequential societal transformation, three essential ingredients are needed. 1) Knowledge and understanding of what has happened, how / why we have arrived at this place in the world

2) How people function from a common sense / intuitive / useful and effective perspective.

3) The ability and necessary support to apply this knowledge to yourself, your friends/ family / workplace / community you live in.

The first volume contained in this book, a play called 'The Answer', provides a general knowledge and understanding in reference to points 1 and 2. It  looks at how we, as human beings, have been taken away from our natural state of being at an increasingly alarming rate since the industrial revolution in the late 1900s in the UK.

It examines how this has been achieved through cultural and societal changes. The roles we have been encouraged to play in the world of work, education, women and religion have all contributed towards this end. Success, outside approval and the desire for money have overtaken our real human needs of love, care, safety and health. We have become creatures who look for our own 'Answer' outside of ourselves, and in relation to everything else that surrounds us.

'The Answer' goes on to reveal the depth of self-deception we have all been encouraged to go along with, wrapping up with a long hard look at understanding why we become distracted from our real purpose and meaning of life, by money, approval and success.

The second volume, 'The I In The Storm' focuses on the second key point.  Teaching you exactly how to identify and understand 'who you are', emotions, feelings, the imagination, the role of the mind and your personal Energetic Dynamic, this shows you in a step by step guide what you need to do in order to raise your level of awareness, consciousness and personal performance.

The third point, the ability to apply this knowledge to yourself and support to do this, is addressed by joining the on line Energy Dynamic Model Academy.”

**Remember, you can learn about the Energy Dynamic Model in any way you choose. You do not have to complete all the steps, and you can do them in any order. **

And if you have any questions, please email info@energydynamic.co.uk

Thank you.

Be safe"

Your Invitation to Going Beyond/ JIE Episode 12

Journeys Into Enlightenment with Janet
Episode 12 E=MC2 and 100th Monkey Principle Realities

More of us are awakening to our connection to all life on this planet as Oneness. More are becoming aware of Wholeness. Oneness is about being connected and Wholeness is the totality of what that includes. We have individual experiences and shared experiences that combine and create our thoughts and realities. We each add to the whole.

Our habituated shared realities are what Rupert Sheldrake PhD explores. He promotes the awareness that what shows up in our world is habituated thinking that is being projected into being. The collective genetic memory creates the mechanism of connection of the habituated thought.

We don’t have to ask our question of “Do any of us make a difference?” We know in physical terms how it only takes one human with an automatic weapon or bomb to eradicate life around him discriminately and indiscriminately. It takes only one company dumping pollution and then an industry that starts the ball rolling. It takes only one voice promoting fear as reasonable.

We are acting like it is okay to be armored in battle as such is urban life and that every neighborhood anywhere is a battlefield. Guerrilla warfare among civilians in the extreme.

It doesn’t not have to be this. But we are allowing it to be okay. What we are feeling and thinking about life is the issue.  It is not a question of “Does one make a difference?”

We are now in touch in ways as never before with what we may not have known we had lurking inside. Society is reflecting our racial bias, gender bias, male/female bias, etc. etc. etc. We have got biases coming out of our hearts that have been eating away at us. Locked in feelings of fear, hopelessness and despair abound about feeling powerful to create what we want to live. We are receiving our slaps into awareness.

What if?

What if there is no weapon pointed at another?

What if instead?

What if I pointed love at another? What if I pointed kindness at another? What if love and kindness radiate out of me in every direction? What if others are doing the same thing at the same time? Feel the difference?

Each of us is our own leader of Self. What if this is your sense of leadership then? Leaders radiating out love and kindness as that is what they are accessing within. Sharing in a global awareness of limited resources to be cared for and used wisely and respectfully? No one against another but with differences to be appreciated.

What if there was no side to take, only unity? This kind of leadership is about Wholeness and Oneness at core. Nothing falls outside of the Collective Consciousness.

Do we witness our Leaders radiating love and kindness and respect towards one another and others as that is what we are doing? Not only our spiritual leaders but our political leaders? And aren’t they the same?

The real question might be more “What am I offering as part of the collective presently active memory of Man?”

Consciousness Evolves into Journeys Into Enlightenment with Janet

My friend Joan Newcomb and I have been presenting Conscious Conversations with Joan and Janet, most recently on the CTR Network for the last few years. We have gone many places with connecting with the energies around us in that time. We centered in our awareness as Consciousness and how it applied in daily life to create a more enriched sense of Self in being. We kept it timely reading and tracking what we were noticing energetically in our inner and outer worlds.

We met many along the way who were also exploring this new way of engaging life, free of dogmas and traditions that limited and defined who we were in certain patterns that were not always a good fit. We had a great run and you can continue to listen to our podcast.

Thank you to all of you who supported us by listening and enriching the field of being present and the morphic field of the show itself. It is free now out among the stars to be enjoyed.

Starting January 15, 2019 I am releasing my new adventure. I will presenting a podcast Journeys Into Enlightenment with Janet. It will be an every two week episode about the intersections of Consciousness and Self. I will feature a friend who will join me in Heart Centered Awareness and share about the myriad and different aspects of being.

Like with CCJJ my intention is to create in this space a container for others to indulge in. What you found in that container and will find again here with me is Heart Centered Awareness. We were the only radio show to offer that. Lots of great work out on the airwaves and we intentionally set ourselves differently.

If you knew what you were feeling you felt it and the potential for change in the moment. If you were new to the idea you felt it and just didn't know what you were feeling probably. And no matter what you called it, God, Source, Universe, Cabbage it was real. Every guest who joined us on the air felt it.

In the spectrum of awareness in Being we are all at different places and sensory abilities.

Consciousness is at the core of All. Every rock, wave, finger, bush, gas, you name it. It is the core of human reality. As humans experiencing life we feel, resonate in certain ranges of vibrations that are perhaps different levels of awareness from other matter, other essences, other energies. But all, fall within the core of Consciousness.

I look to celebrate all of this in my new podcast. Once again each episode will start with accessing HCA and what comes out of this space with my friend of the episode. And this time the focus will be perhaps more on the timeless quality of Being and not so much on the chaotic nature that Self can entertain. We will pull from our different histories the wisdoms of the past and appreciate them in the present.

You will enjoy something to read along, something to entertain your ears and eyes, some great music and conversation to access in Heart Centered Awareness. All opening us up to new interpretations of thought and emotional resonances. Free of judgment, you will experience rest, the stillness, laughter, the profound, the delight in being in a community of individuals sharing in this collective dynamic we call Consciousness.

I am busy the next few weeks getting this all into place with some wonderful friends to help me.

I will keep you posted. If you know of someone who would enjoy joining me as friend exploring life please send them to my email address janetandbeyondpodcast@outlook.com.Titles are nice and not always important. It is in the appreciation and quality of life being expressed.

Consciousness and Revealing the BE on our chests!

Doomsday looms on many fronts according to our pop culture and fears. Many may feel it is here now.

Great storytelling includes the strong and right and just against the equally strong wrong and unfairness in the world. Unfortunately these are opposites that can keep us in fixed positions of feeling and thinking. It requires a huge event to change us out of these mindsets. It can feel as abrupt as a slap or gunshot or bolt of lightening.

Our modern interpretations of our old stories of earth magic and shaman/alchemists are cautionary tales about life, destruction, control and power. They are archetypes of being. But sometimes we can forget this.

We identify with our fellow beat up humans. We all want to feel powerful and in control in our lives.

We can not do it alone. In this particular state of humanity we are crying out once again for heroes and superheros to save us and keep us safe for all mankind and from mankind. As we did at the advent of World War Two when the modern take of gods and myths of beings became superheroes.

Look at all the superheros permeating our culture these days. Sometimes it is not enough to be a hero now, you want a superhero. Poor superheros. They dazzle and suffer as they carry the burden of societies. They are a mix of suffering humans who sustain some horrendous trauma or bug bite and out of the world skill sets result. Or they might be non human creatures out of time and space. Well written heroes and villains have ethos, pathos and logos at play and for us to engage with.

Superheros don't seem to retire. They are moments in time that replay and replay and replay for that is their very nature.  They represent our current archetypes. No matter their appearance they are warriors.

They may use their gifts for good but at what cost? Destruction ensues as the forces of good and evil or maybe not so evil play out. And we are supposed to feel okay about it. Just how many times can New York City be destroyed? And then fresh and vibrant in the next movie to be destroyed all over again. What pattern is at play here? The one that it is okay to destroy a city as it will be fine the next time we destroy the enemy? I think we know this is not how time plays into life.

Movies and books that offer humane behavior without punishment and humor are that more enjoyable in the combination of relentless intensities.

These days whether it is romance, mystery or sci fi we are often embracing warrior mentality.  Some of us may never have a sense of having left the battlefield and will find one another battle as a way to honor fallen comrades and protect the downtrodden and innocent. Peace is a precarious state in between wars. Warriors might not often handle peace well as they maybe only feel really alive when faced with death.

Being suspicious of one's neighbors and anyone who looks different, sounds different, represent different culture is a sad way to live.

We are not alone. In heart Centered Awareness you will find that you need no weapon, no cape except as entertainment.

If we let our investment in right/ wrong to soften, our desire for a good fight, our need to feel in control that follows a loss of control to all relax a bit, what happens in our lives changes. Events don't play out in the same way as they always reflect your alignments, old and new.

Our humanity is recognizing these days that constructs of systems that those before us have set in place need to soften and shift and reflect kindly on all of us. It is possible. If we understand that change is possible in how our stories of troubles seem set. To be not righteous, not confrontational, not challenging to face death, only enjoying the story. Appreciating that what it consider self is a creative state of expression and makes for a great story. It is only part of being.

Consciousness is the superhero in each of us. With a BE on our chest. It is of a different sort of superhero as we save ourselves.

"Living to fight another day" may make for a nice rallying cry but "Living another day" is even better.

Consciousness and a New Angle to end 2017

Hello All!

How nice to be with you again! Happy January 2018.

Sometimes things happen and all one can do is give in and go with it. Resistance gains you nothing, perhaps only frustration, rage, hurt and spent energy. For some it has been a season of catastrophic hurricanes, floods and fire, sexual, racial, political issues. Take your pick.

For me it was my body. November 16, 2 months ago I had a medical procedure. Something that was expected to take a few days of recovery that became seven weeks of alternating flat on my back and on an incline wedge. Followed by 3 weeks of respiratory stuff. All unexpected. All inconvenient, unwanted, physically painful at times, and filled with opportunity.

No busy. No doing. Not too much holiday stuff with family and friends filled with routines or traditions. Just reading romance books and playing jigsaw puzzles on my Ipad, all often at an angle.  I was doing what many dream they would like to be doing during a holiday season, lying around reading. But it gets a bit wearing after the first week. You start to question yourself about many things and coming to terms.

I used the time to disconnect from social media, (not that I am well connected in the first place I admit) and from the computer as I don't write well at the physical angle I was at. For the first time in 12 years I didn't write this weekly aside for a week or two.

It was at times challenging, to just lie there. Especially when you know you are not being busy with what your partner is busy doing for you. But it was the best thing for me so I gave up and in and just allowed my body to heal and reframe, reorient itself. The old stuff that came up I was able to look at in new ways. It was literally an opportunity to look at life from a different angle.

I led our Consciousness groups lying down on my sofa. I did our radio shows lying down. I slept a lot.

I have some new perspectives about me in my life as 2017 ended. New routines may show up, new considerations as I get my feet under me again and I re-engage in my world from this space. I am so glad I didn't lose anything other than some old thoughts and some body fluids.

I enjoyed 2017 with all its upheaval and how it brought to the surface buried energies in all of us, not easy, not pretty. Yet, we are embodying new approaches to how we deal with ourselves and each other. Whistleblowing doesn't seem to often come with appreciation. The bravery inherent of revealing truths, of going against the big. Perhaps when all the shouting and pain recede a bit we will be be able to hear each other at our truths. When we are stripped down to what is truly important to each of us. Sometimes a sense of loss comes before the sense of gain.

Only then can one let go or unfold what has been so powerfully holding us back from being more congruent with what we each aspire to. We so need to recognize, admit to our bigotry, our biases our failures, our lack of care, our arrogance. Not as a way to hurt ourselves or judge ourselves as less but as the vehicle to recognizing our unified spiritual humanity that we each are.

Hiding does not work any longer. Light is shining out of the cracks. Structures of belief and disbelief can come down easily if we allow them to.

We are powerful and it has been a season ripe with the awareness of how one person can make a difference whether it be to shoot down a stranger, rescue an unknown neighbor, raise millions of dollar to aid. to call into question our values of human interfacing. Self leadership is our birthright and it may take awhile to do it well.

Start 2018 off right and access Heart Centered Awareness. Listen beyond your own clamor. Go beyond into the All. I will meet your there.

Consciousness and the Vibrations and Resonances in Life

Time and space have been filled with lots of challenges for humans lately. In the last month or so we have had hurricanes, shootings and fires within US boundaries. Along with all the other unrest happening politically here and around the world. Lots of turmoil, unrest, tragedy. Followed by help and support from others and lack of care from some.

In any society, where one individual has the power to annihilate those around him I feel we must question how easy we allow it to be for that to happen. Is there a difference between a president with an attitude and bombs and a shooter armed with an automatic weapon and agenda?

I think most individuals do the best they can. They are just coming from an unaware space or from their wounded self and a different mindset. Their sense of biases directs their actions. But those are important to all of us as we may come face to face with them up close or from a distance. Every person has the ability to affect all of us directly or indirectly.

I look to see how I can be helpful. How is being one in the many of One make a difference? I can send money and supplies on one level. I can vote and march and sign petitions. I let myself be counted.

As Consciousness and part of the whole and spectrum that Consciousness is I can help in other ways. By being me in that awareness. And it is the same for you.

Our emotions can anchor us into certain patterns of feelings and people in stress release particular vibrational tones. We have been feeling this. Even the Earth has been reflecting this.

With the hurricanes and Las Vegas shooting, inside and outside of group I have been noticing the strong emotional imprint of energies around us as vibrations and resonances in particular.

What do we do in the face of actions that take lives? There are times when you can say nothing. When we just have to stop and acknowledge loss, the seemingly senselessness of an action.

We have to get from behind our podiums of justification and the sway of agenda. the seductiveness of connection and belonging to any group that says they are the only group worth being, and being in service to some particular god or deity or family.  That is all a matter of interpretation. Every serial killer has a reason of righteousness, Every government may have a reason of righteousness behind acts of terror and war committed. We have to pay attention to the biases active.

Again, how do I help in all of this and not add to the emotions running high in every direction? In group we noticed all those energies showed up as a vibrational medium filled with tones.

You know how you hear certain tones and they are like dirges, deep and so loud? That was Las Vegas. I could see waves of vibrations holding in the space. Our awareness was that panic, pandemonium and shock needed release. I witnessed them as present and having the ability to transform themselves into twinkle dust and to be swept away on the wind.

How to help those hurting? How to help the rage of the shooter anchored in the violence? We found ourselves spontaneously offering counter balancing tones. Like when a group will sing out notes, someone starting and then the rest add their input and soon there is this amazing melodic sound resonating and moving through and taking you places in wonder of syncopation. I have witnessed this phenomena with drumming circles, with singers and with musicians warming up. Tones that may start in discordance that becomes a song filled with lyrical rhythms and a precious harmony playing off one another.

Quickly we could feel the dirge start to shift into only part of the whole and adding to the spectrum in expression and no longer the dominant tone. It was not about trying to change things by force and push as one might want to do but in allowing ourselves to be part of the whole and enriched by our being.

California is burning physically in places right now. Maybe in your area of the world there is a fire of some sort burning that is not useful. Access into Heart Centered Awareness and offer your vibration to what is resonating. Don't force and make something happen. Just offer your vibration. Allow it to get as big as it becomes. Feel the difference and let it be real long past your attention span. Notice what happens and how you feel.

We have to remember that each of us, is powerful and part of the whole and in resonance with Life.

What is your vibration?

Consciousness and My Dad

Gil, age 18 high school graduation 1942

My dad's birthday was this past Friday.  He passed away a couple of years ago at age 92 and I have thought much about his world, my world and what might be the same and different.

He was born in 1923, a Jew from Brooklyn, New York. That was how he defined himself, though like all of us he was much more. He was one of 6 brothers and a sister who very much grew up in his ethnic heritage of Russian and Romanian immigrant parents who had come here around 1902. Life was tough for many reasons and family got you through it.

During WW2, a few months after his high school graduation, he joined the Navy and found himself the only Jew and Yankee on a ship's crew of 257. He fought for his life most every day in real ways on that ship. Only because he was trained as a boxer, scrappy and smart did he survive his own countrymen and what he felt the Navy was on that ship.

He found most of the others to be young men from the South. In his memories they were all bigots/racists except for a few who helped him stay alive. They all had their biases. Dad had his. He was a radarman isolated in a small room listening all the time to his equipment in front of him and also over his shoulder outside of that room. He literally didn't sleep much.

He always loved this country and what it stood for but understood that principles are only thoughts, ideals, constructs and not actions. He clearly felt how men define themselves. Didn't endear him to the Navy, officers, and with rare exception, men from the South for the rest of his life.

He was never free of the spiritual, emotional and mental wounds those three years on the ship fostered. For the rest of his life he was always polite, gracious and if you were from the South or a Navy man you had to prove yourself. Commanding respect for the man was not guaranteed because of any title.

It always filled me with sadness to think that what was happening overseas at that time he was dealing with some of the same dynamics on ship, bigotry and racism. Much which are still present in this country.

And my sadness for all the young men who participated on all the sides of engagement who were like my dad, no matter their biases and their positions, to be forever changed by their service.

The ideal of the melting pot assimilation the USA treasures is often only that, an ideal. The thought that it didn't matter what you believed you would be accepted was manna from heaven for so many. Land of the Free, Home of the Brave.

Yet we are creatures of habit, of judgment, whatever that might encompass for each of us. Family, clan, community is always about bias. The biases formed in our original homelands have been brought here. Those biases color our life experiences.

Life is a mishmash of dynamics, time, space, experiences melding into this incredible expression of being. We are fortunate to enjoy life. No matter our sides of engagement and position we are all Consciousness in action.

In the current energies present around us it is the right time to question your self and others in what you assume about life. How important your biases of indentity are to you and for others to have them. Utilizing Heart Centered Awareness we loosen them enough to enjoy a more inclusive sense of being.

My dad was a man of honor. He was loving in his actions and challenging in his thinking. Hard headed, not inclined to change his opinion once formed. And I didn't often share his viewpoints about what Life had to be. As a child of first generation citizens and the Great Depression, his life experiences were very different from mine and he came to different conclusions about his life. I respected them and him as a man of his times.

He helped to bring out the best in me through that challenge of differences, and the support of his love. He helped me to appreciate the bigger picture that we are as Consciousness. And to take nothing for granted as we are inclined to do.

One reason to love him was that my dad would also be the first to lend a helping hand when others were reluctant to, even if he didnt like you. Sometimes I am sure that was confusing to him. It is not to me as I embrace duality as polarity.

Dad, I celebrate and honor you by being the best I can be.

Happy Birthday!

Consciousness and Our Own Super Power

Consciousness as Superpower

It is interesting what will trigger a new awareness and subsequent shift. From one moment to the next everything is the same and then something heard or seen, a question asked or a statement made will stimulate and open up a new avenue of awareness. When we are in Heart Centered Awareness, the Field of Unified Consciousness which is full of potential, that awareness can blossom into a shift in the pattern or change of status.

We each have the power to affect change in our lives. It is our superpower. You don't have to be bitten by a bug, beat up and left for dead, be born into a family of gods, etc, etc. etc. All you have to do is allow your sense of Self, which holds and defines your limits, to let go and access yourself as Consciousness.

Our popular media is filled with stories of superheros currently acting out. Which one speaks to you? I have watched movies filled with hero and heroines and villains and infamy battling out good and evil. The very interesting ones would seem to be those whose humanity still holds for both within the same body. They provide great psychology into human archetypes.

In any good story there can be great darkness, a wound at the core of our hero/heroine. There is great emotional angst, often incredible destruction on themselves that they walk out of, their surrounding environments and New York City a great deal of the time. Unfortunately, too often action will predominate and characters get lost in all of it. It becomes more of a movie about destruction that anything else. It becomes a mindset.

We are no different than those we read about or observe on the big or little screens. We forget that our authors are often writing about how real people in society are feeling in their lives. We can dress it up,disguise it as an god or ant or wealthy businessman but at heart is the human experience in story form. We can also be left feeling afterwards that this is fantasy and has nothing to do with our lives except as entertainment or as a game.

Sometimes we, the human self can feel lost or small in how we are living our lives. We might not feel powerful in useful ways. We fail to recognize that showing up every day, providing for oneself and/or family is an act of grace and value.

But under our shirts, across our chests, we have our superpower, Consciousness as Potential. It is in each of us to be accessed and enjoyed. It is the creator of our life game and our way to become much more. It facilitates our love and compassion for ourselves and each other.

Don't like what is happening in your life? Then learn about how to be different in your thinking. Learn how to utilize this unknown and underused power that is you. Trust that you can help yourself or find others than can help you to develop your trust.

Access Heart Centered Awareness. And play.

Enjoy your superpower!

Consciousness and Beyond That Which Can Be Defined

Humans love labels. Our mindsets love a label as it frees thought to go on to the next thought. It would seem at times quite indiscriminate about the label but we do seem to like ones that keep us small. Small and safe are probably related.

As Consciousness, we have the ability to reframe those labels and thoughts, to expand. We loosen the definitions and limits of the Self and step into the loosened state of Potential.

When we do this we are stepping out of the holographic framing that we have all established as reality. We are also better able to notice the limits in our language. We go beyond how the Self identifies the parts of our self and how it relates to it's experiences and overall life framing. We step out of the emotions and judgments that Self is and reframe that Self.

Consciousness holds for all kinds of experience in it's expression as us. In group we have been noticing the wounded healer dynamic and also this last week, the wounded child. These are terms that humans use to explain, validate certain states of being. Unfortunately if we are not neutral to this label, you can feel the limits that these labels encode and encompass.

The word is really just a perspective and experience of a sort. Wounded is a human reference, a judgment and it feels negative. Nobody celebrates wounded. Yet when we are in the mindset of the warrior about life it can be a powerful dynamic and condition to deal with.

What is really there? The label comes with baggage of thoughts and encoding and emotional resonances. These can work for us or against us as we evolve in being. They certainly are perceptual biases and direction modulators in thinking. They anchor us as they are identity labels and not always useful. Sort of like being labeled a druggie or alcoholic. Once one, always on guard. as you are always one and that is the reality that is set. We can spend a lifetime running, hiding, in battle from what is only a label and so much more in an energy direction. I am not judging. I am just looking at how behaviors get set in stone which come from thinking that gets set in stone. How depression gets set in stone. When we are trying to help ourselves and others these labels become their own thing and can be traps at times.

We are looking at what keeps us trapped in patterns and their ensuing behaviors. Our language is very important in this. The sounds of the words play and ripple out back and forth creating the limits of Self. They are powerful connectors to morphic fields of thinking and most often old thinking that we can become unwittingly attached to. Most often unknowingly.

Each of us in group could call ourselves a wounded child or a wounded healer and we could feel the pull and weight. And, how is that helpful? There is the place where I can use it to hold compassion for others, not wanting them to feel as I have felt. Take it out of the state of me having to be hurt to help others and we are both better off. I am not saying that these words are not helpful in some context but only how they can keep us looking from inside a certain framework. By maintaining the limits in the language the reality is set.

What if I labeled "wound" as "creative" instead? Or "playful"? Is that possible? I like both myself. Because both terms come as Consciousness. You may feel Self in reaction to what is really more neutral positioning. Our emotions are such powerful directors. Thoughts followed by energetic actions with outcomes. Changed thoughts lead to changed actions with changed outcomes.

If I don't have to maintain an identity/position label maybe something different is possible. I do this by movement in the reality this information is held or I find a new reality state. We do it with whatever we witness showing up and play from there.

Too often when we meditate or allow ourselves to take moments to relax we can bump up against our labels and they hold us hostage unknowingly. And everything is viewed through that lense. We feel different from our sense of source or in distance when it is only a shift in perception. Using consciousness technologies can free up this dynamic with different results.

Make some time to access Heart Centered Awareness. In that state information will present itself free of  the limits of your definitions/labels of being and reveal the truths of who you are.

Any of us are much much more than any one label. After all, we are that which can not be defined. If I am going to have any label let me go with Consciousness in Action.

And, so are you!

Consciousness and the Modern Day Mystic

Continuing, for the last couple of weeks, there has been lots to play with as we deal with the chaoticness we are experiencing. People are feeling assaulted on so many levels, about so many issues. It can be hard to keep track, just like we see on the political fronts. Slap, slap. Slap, Slap.

One issue is how we relate to finding a way to redefine ourselves. We can often be holding on tightly to who we think we are based on our past. And when your upset is coming from the conflict of your new present self with your past self something has to give. Our old sense of self is coming under what it perceives and feels as an attack if we are not set for control as flow.

We are becoming. Being aware that we are moving into a time of who we are and want to be and not who we think we are. There is no thinking now, only feeling. Our formerly routine ways of thinking were keeping us stuck and in many instances no longer serve. We can notice the difference. We have to learn more useful ways to feel human.

When we define ourselves in terms of our thoughts, as an act of mind we might not always be authentic to who we are inside. This new age of Consciousness is the age of Being. We are moving out of the age of Doing. Doers often need to rationalize and reason most of their experiences and choices. We define ourselves by what we do. Which often is coming from a state of not having choices. Many do what they find they have to do when there is no perceived choice.

When we are operating from this space we are not in Heart Centered Awareness. It is here that we hold and access our authentic voice and express from our inspiration. Often we allow for outside motivation to inspire us in our actions. Motivations can push and shove us into position and move us. It is different when we allow outside motivation to only be information and our own inspiration moves us. That is our new position or truth. Not truth from our usual thinking but truth from thinking from our being, from Heart Centered Awareness.

We were sharing awareness about out language in this new age. And how to label who we are becoming more clearly for ourselves. Mind likes labels and they are really shortcuts that will serve us in dealing with self and others. Going to the dictionary always proves helpful when we are dealing with linguistics and definitions. So often a word represents opposites of the nature it is describing, the totality, and is ALWAYS, subject to interpretation. How I mean in using a word may mean something else to another.

What word would describe us in our lives, in this age of redefining our old systems and sense of Self as we unfold from within? This questioning we do and allow for and foster the unfolding that we each are. Is there an established definition that I can use to describe myself in all this internal fluxing?

All we are looking for is new branding you might say. What do we call those who explore life from a viewpoint of wonder and appreciation of our rites of passage in being? You may have never thought of yourself in those terms before. How do we reframe what we have been challenged by in our lives in new and useful ways? How do we enhance our sense of life?

We are coming out of the age of the spiritual seeker being only a few and the rest of us followers. We each are coming into a time of self leadership.

In group, we agreed on one word. It seems to be free of good/bad, right/wrong and all the silly deadly stuff certain words can embody like magician and wizard. Often those labels hold such ambivalence in their fields.

Words embody states. For us, out of all of them, Mystic rings true.

Mystic: a person who seeks by contemplation and self-surrender to obtain unity with or absorption into the Deity or the absolute, or who believes in the spiritual apprehension of truths that are beyond the intellect.

We so need to get beyond the intellect when it is couched in terms of agenda, hearsay and story. It is not always empty of bias and judgment and emotion.  What we allow to become dogma can create limits.

Make time to Access Heart Centered Awareness for yourself and see what new ways you can notice yourself. Allow a label to be present and invite and allow what that label can become. Feel it and let it be real.

To be a mystic these days means you engage in a state of Heart Centered Awareness and look at the notions your sense of self has embodied and allow for new awareness as Consciousness, the All. This states allows Self to explore and know beyond the limits of itself. To unfold and expand.

Consciousness and Leaders and Followers

I am heartened by what I see happening in this upheaval of Consciousness. Among all the negative energies present people are responding to what doesn't feel right, what they have taken for granted. People are getting active about choices in their lives and recognizing their own complacency and directing and expressing one's own inner course in new ways.

Consciousness embodies into each of us. Each, in our own unique way is expressing the spectrum of Consciousness. Each is important in the scheme of things and yet we may have no awareness of that. Whether we view others as enemy, cannon fodder or somewhat higher in the pecking order they are important to the whole, if not to other individuals. The same for ourselves.

This life is the playing field of Being. You can BE anything. You can change how you BE. You can unfold into your truths when you know them, when you know how not to be victim to one's own creation.

We, first and foremost, are always, always, leaders of self. We may not rule over others but we always rule ourselves. Coming to understand this is vital to a enriched experience of life.

Many of us do not. Much outside of us forms and will dictate how we view ourselves. Which is our setup. We may have been trained to be followers. Great mentoring allows for the young to learn and train and at some point become their own individual without loss to the mentor. Often leaders are not so much born and created as they are fostered into being.

Followers support the leader. And when you allow yourself to be swayed by another, as you are always the ultimate voice in your life, you are a follower.  We agree to let others rule us. You can be supportive or grudging in your following.

In our social media we have created a society and exposed ourselves to a world full of false idols representing unimportant qualities to follow that many might not recognize as such. We allow ourselves to be dazzled easily with the show. Mind and Heart Centered Awareness get farther apart. Emotions of all kinds, needs and wants sway us.

For many they find themselves enchanted by others who will say "I am the way." They can feel swept up and carried along and it seems okay. Life is easier and safer to not to have to question and figure life out sometimes. We can focus on other things.

A minority group of people who feel they have not been heard or valued created a leader out of a businessman who was saying what played to their insecurities, many that he mirrors and fosters. But there are different kind of businessmen and this one is not philanthropic in nature or being. and the business is himself. He is the king of branding of himself as better than other. Compassion and community are not his guidelines. Separation and acting out are.

Compassion and community are my guidelines. Are they yours? It is up to each of us to find our own leadership of what is valuable and how to welcome the minority in collaborating to new ways of ruling. You can not do this by viewing them as enemy, whatever side of a border they may be on.

Access Heart Centered Awareness and go beyond the illusion the Other presents and you will find the frightened, the corrupted, the misunderstood etc.  Allow for Grace and Potential and see what happens in the interaction. You might be very surprised. You will certainly feel different.

What's in your leader?
